Wrapping Up
Again, sorry I have not updated in awhile! Kathy made it home safe and sound near the end of February and had a blessed time, helping many people and sharing the good news. Now, they are visiting us and planning on taking back all the wonderfully-warm goods you all worked so hard on. There were quite a few hats, along with some scarves, blankets, and a pair of mittens (my ONE PAIR I was able to find time to make). It filled a decent-sized diaper box (my way of recycling) that will be making it's way up north and, ultimately, to Africa sometime this summer. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed! Hopefully, we can do this again in the near future and hopefully by then, things will run a little more smoothly. Sorry gals! Thanks again!

Kathy Update
Just wanted to give a quick update on Kathy. She left for Swaziland on Thursday and made it safely and smoothly...eventually. There's a 9 hour time difference between me (MST) and her, so I don't know exactly *when* she arrived, but nevertheless, she arrived.
I just got to chat with her a bit on Facebook. She's doing well and is having a great time. They held their first clinic yesterday and 500 people showed up for treatment. Wow! Please be praying for the seeds that were sown and for the workers who are busy doing the planting. As for our part in this, I was unable to send any goods with her, but she's planning on visiting for my youngest's birthday next month and will be taking goods back with her. Stay tuned for that update. It's not they're needing warmth right now anyways - it's their summertime! :)
That's all I have for now. Please be praying for Kathy and the rest of The Luke Commission. May the Word be spread far and wide for His glory!

Correction!
Okay, so we have a little more time. The gentleman who was supposed to come pick up is unable to do it now, but will probably be back sometime next month. False alarm! I know I'm relieved - I'm so not ready! :) Continue about your Christmas hustle and bustle and I'll come to collect next month.
Again, if any of you need anything, let me know! I still have a nice stash of yarn left over if you need some. Thanks gals!

Important Info!
Sorry if it's seemed like Yarnies has kind of gone by the wayside. I promise it hasn't...really. I know this is kind of last minute, but I *just* found out myself. A friend of my step-mom's will be in Twin this Sunday to pick up any finished items to take back up north with him. Very nice of this gentleman to be willing to do so! If any of you have finished goods, please hand them off to me before the weekend. I'll more than likely see the majority of you at Christmas Eve Service, so you can hand them off to me then. If you're still working on stuff or have had to put it off (myself included), don't fret. I'm going to be shipping Kathy another box before she leaves for Africa on February 3rd. Let me know who of you has items ready for me and who needs to ship them with me. Thank you, gals!
